SS Dance & Wellbeing Presents I Like To Move It, our third ONLINE WELLNESS DAY - bringing you more dance to energise your soul. Taking part during World Wellbeing Week this event will provide uplifting motivation and guidance to inspire people to keep moving and make positive changes to enhance their well-being.

DEWSBURY, based social enterprise, SS Dance & Wellbeing is hosting a FREE Online Wellness Day on Sunday 27th June 2021 featuring:

  • LIVE dance classes delivered by SS Dance & Wellbeing.
  • In-Talks session with guest speaker Lucile Allen-Paisant of Mind IT and Leeds Wellbeing Week.
  • Energising In-House Gym inspired workout.
  • In-Talks Session with guest speaker David Cowan NHS England Regional Social Prescribing Facilitator.
  • Keep It Moving Reggae Style - OTAGO Falls Prevention chair dance with SS Dance & Wellbeing.
  • LIVE guest-led dance session with Dancing for Well-being
  • Workshop session with guest speaker Danielle Bello Art & Wellbeing expert.
  • In-Talks session with SS Dance & Wellbeings Sophie Simpson & special guests on Covid impact, work/life balance, self-care and managing your mental health in todays society.

So many people have struggled through the past 15 months, the pressures of working from home and juggling childcare, the isolation and lack of human contact, and the sheer fear of the pandemic itself has created a worrying impact on all our wellbeing.

“The Online Wellness Day is full of positive practical ways we can all look after ourselves” says Sophie Simpson, Founder of SS Dance & Wellbeing and creator of the Online Wellness Day. “I want to inspire everyone to take a moment during this intense and challenging time to focus on looking after themselves; to discover new ways to move more in this new normality, to connect with people online, and to understand how to fuel their mind."

I Like To Move It Online Wellness Day will focus primarily on engaging people from within their own homes in activities to enhance mental, spiritual, and physical wellbeing. This will take place on social media platforms including Facebook, Zoom and Instagram. Starting at 10.45am, opening with a LIVE introduction from the Chief Wellbeing Officer and a reggae vibes dance session to kick start the day. 5 hours of dance and wellness activities will come to a close after the final session at 4.30PM.
